Inspired by the Song “Until the Night is Done” by Luke Sital-Singh
I’ve been walking half asleep
I feel safer when I’m dreaming
The bigger half of me wants to burn the world away
But you told me honestly
You will not grow old with your body young
You will not go home till the night is done
I feel much better now with memories
But some stay razor sharp and always cut me
I wish I had the vision now to help you see
I’ve been walking half asleep
I feel safer when I’m dreaming
The bigger half of me wants to burn the world away
But you told me honestly
You will not grow old with your body young
You will not go home till the night is done
I’ve been lying on the edge of the road giving up
I’m finding it hard
Since forever, since you’ve left me alone to bleed
I’ve been healing my scars
I’m standing again and I’m ready to start
I’ve been walking half asleep
I feel safer when I’m dreaming
The bigger half of me wants to burn the world away
But you told me honestly
You will not grow old with your body young
You will not go home till the night is done
My body is no longer young. The road is getting harder. Honesty is shared by only a few. The night never seems to be done, and I definitely feel the desire to burn the world away.
Note to Self: This post is dedicated to a friend who recently sat with me while I cried. Not every day am I able to find the humor.

I hate what you’re going through. Sleep is respite but waking is depression. I’m still not crying all that much and sleeping way too much. Trying to journal but don’t know what to say. Been reading When the Body Says No by Gabor Mate and that is helping. My happy place is water aerobics. Thinking of you often.
So good to hear you have that friend who will sit and just be present for you, and if you need to cry that friend will just be there…. Hugs to you…. Your blog notes really show what you are going thru. We never know what card is going to be dealt us, but you have certainly took the bull by the horns and done what you have to do each and every day….. Just be sure to take care of yourself too….
Cry, yes, but never give up.
