I love Sunday morning conversations with Don because there are so many options for TV watching while eating breakfast. In the holiday spirit, I’m gonna light him up like a Christmas tree.
Kristy: Choices today include golf, NFL, last season of Yellowstone or more Food Network.
Don: Pumpkin pie!
Kristy: No pie, dude, you finished it last night. Whole pie gone in 24 hours. You need to put some decent food in your stomach.
Don: No Pie?
Kristy: I can’t believe the network airing Yellowstone thinks they can compete with NFL today. I guess not everybody likes football.
Don: Coffee?
Kristy: Yeah, OK, some coffee. What else?
Don: Pie?
Kristy: No pie. How about NFL? Kansas City v. Cleveland or Dallas v. Carolina?
Don: Your favorite QB.
Kristy: Is that sarcasm?
Don: Yeah.
Kristy: You sarcastically mean Aaron Rodgers?
Don: Yeah.
Kristy: What team does he play for?
Don: Kansas City.
Kristy: What happened to Mahomes?
Don: It would be nice to have some little cookies with that coffee.
Kristy: Kansas City, it is.
The mere mention of Aaron Rodgers is really close to pushing my jackass button again.
Note to Self: Who needs a Christmas tree when 2 old fools can just light each other up over football?
