Human Morality

Child Care, Elder Care, Spousal Care, Nursing Care. Whatever the position, it will be one of the hardest things you will ever do for different reasons, with different obstacles and with different results.

“A man does what he must in spite of personal consequences, in spite of obstacles and dangers, and pressures — and that is the basis of all human morality.”

by John F. Kennedy

Kristy, I’ve cared for children most of my life, my grandmother for 4 hours a day, in her last 18 months of her life, but my most intensive experience was your Uncle Jim. His cancer was a rare type & the doctors had no protocol for treatment. When the first symptom appeared, he resisted out to the doctor, so the diagnosis was made about 10 months later. He had always thoroughly researched purchases, vacations, & investments. After we learned what we were dealing with, I had to do all the research, as he was passive while going through treatment. Definitely, not a Jim Woolsey, that I knew. Fortunately, I was in relatively good health that time. My heart goes out to you, after reading your entries. I wish you the best at this difficult time.

Thank you. It has been difficult as I know you understand. With no hope for improvement, we continue to see the gradual decline that I have sadly come to accept as enevitable. What I don’t know is how long. I wrote the book as therapy for myself. Then I was encouraged by many to pursue an editor and publisher. Once I finished the book, I felt the lack of direction that kept me getting out of bed each day. I started the blog that takes over where the book ends. My editor should be in her final stages of editing and then we will decide how to publish. I have been in touch briefly with Robin. Seems an eternity since I’ve seen family. Thank goodness for the internet. My regular email is [email protected] or you can always use this website or Messenger.
