Today we celebrate the 3rd New Year’s Day since Don’s stroke in 2022, but we are also starting the 30th month. It has become more difficult each month for both of us. I still try to find the humor and today we had another brief discussion about college football.
Kristy: Lots of football to watch today. It’s New Year’s Day.
Don: No, it’s Army Day.
Kristy: I didn’t see Army or Navy games on the TV schedule. Don’t they play around Thanksgiving?
Don: Look out there (he points at the ocean that is very active today with gigantic waves). That’s the Navy playing out there right now.
Kristy: Well then, which game are you choosing to watch this morning? The Navy game out in the ocean or the Texas v. Arizona State game on TV?
Don: Are you serious? Today is New Year’s Day?
Note to Self: Buckle up as we start another year in the fantasy world of Don.
