In the absence of college football on a Saturday afternoon, I quiz Don on what TV shows he is most interested in as a substitute. He picks a long-standing favorite of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network. Closer to dinnertime, I check in with him and start getting him prepped for the evening meal.
Don: This turned out to be Harry Potter.
Kristy: On the Food Network channel? Does that make sense to you?
Don points at the TV that is advertising some food items. I tell him it’s not Harry Potter, but a commercial on the Food Network.
Don: I want BBQ chips.
Kristy: OK.
What a coincidence he’s hungry watching a food ad on the Food Network channel. Eyes and brain saw food, but mouth uttered Harry Potter.
Note to Self: I can’t fix this malfunction. It’s way above my pay grade.
