The Fish Peddler

One of the local hotspots for clam chowder is called The Fish Peddler. With Mr. Fixit and Uncle Gianni on the way to help me with some chores at home, we decide to meet and have a seafood dinner at The Fish Peddler. I take Don and we make a third trip to town in 3 days to see if a prescription for him is ready. It is not. We head to the restaurant empty handed.

Don and I arrive first. A struggle ensues just to get Don in and out of a car. He was eager to get out of the house for a little while, so we made the extra effort. We order halibut and fries to share. Wine for me and beer for Don. I pay and grab the alert device used to notify us when the order is ready. Then I go in search of a table. Don waits for the drinks. Don picks up my glass of wine and delivers it to a table close to the front of the restaurant. I see the woman sitting at that table trying to convince him he’s not someone she knows, and he has the wrong table. He becomes so confused that he leaves his beer on the counter, my wine on a stranger’s table, and starts walking to the exit. I rush to capture him before he’s out the door. I get both of us and our drinks settled just as Gianni and Mr. Fixit arrive.

Note to Self: One glass of wine is not going to be enough.
